Relevant legal bases

In accordance with Art. 13 GDPR, we inform you of the legal basis of our data processing. If the legal basis is not stated in the privacy policy, the following applies The legal basis for obtaining consent is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a and Art. 7 GDPR, the legal basis for processing for the performance of our services and implementation of contractual measures as well as responding to inquiries is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, the legal basis for processing to fulfill our legal obligations is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR, and the legal basis for processing to protect our legitimate interests is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Cooperation with processors and third parties

If we disclose data to other persons and companies (processors or third parties) as part of our processing, transfer it to them or otherwise grant them access to the data, this will only be done on the basis of legal permission (e.g. if the transfer of data to third parties, such as payment service providers, is necessary for the performance of a contract pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR), you have given your consent, a legal obligation provides for this or on the basis of our legitimate interests (e.g. when using agents, web hosts, etc.).

If we commission third parties to process data on the basis of a so-called "order processing contract", this is done on the basis of Art. 28 GDPR.

Transfer to third countries

If we process data in a third country (i.e. outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA)) or if this occurs in the context of the use of third-party services or disclosure or transfer of data to third parties, this will only take place if it is done to fulfill our (pre)contractual obligations, on the basis of your consent, on the basis of a legal obligation or on the basis of our legitimate interests. This means, for example, that the processing takes place on the basis of special guarantees, such as the officially recognized determination of a level of data protection corresponding to the EU (e.g. for the USA through the "Privacy Shield") or compliance with officially recognized special contractual obligations (so-called "standard contractual clauses").

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard disk. This automatically provides us with certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system on your computer and your connection to the Internet.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. Using the information contained in cookies, we can make navigation easier for you and enable our web pages to be displayed correctly.

Under no circumstances will the data collected by us be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.

Of course, you can also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. You can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via your browser settings. Please use the help functions of your Internet browser to find out how to change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

This website distinguishes between technically necessary and technically unnecessary cookies. Non-essential cookies (such as Google Analytics) are only set if the user has given their consent. The legal basis for non-functional cookies is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. This consent is stored in the form of a cookie, which is therefore technically necessary.

SSL encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Deletion or blocking of data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as provided for by the various storage periods stipulated by law. Once the respective purpose no longer applies or these periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc (hereinafter: Google). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymization on these websites, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: Browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics.

In addition or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking here. An opt-out cookie will be stored on your device. This will prevent the collection by Google Analytics for this website and for this browser in the future as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

If you have given your consent to this in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, the processing on this website is carried out for the purpose of website analysis.

Use of script libraries (Google Web Fonts)

To display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google web fonts are transferred to your browser's cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google web fonts or prevents access, content is displayed in a standard font.

Calling up script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible - although it is currently unclear whether and for what purposes - that operators of such libraries collect data.

The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. YouTube is informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.

If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to expect any such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

Further information on data protection at "YouTube" can be found in the provider's privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Google Ads

Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an ad placed by Google, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this - for example, by setting your browser to generally deactivate the automatic setting of cookies or to set your browser to block cookies from the domain "googleleadservices.com".

Please note that you may not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not wish measurement data to be recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in the browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a solution with which we can manage so-called website tags via an interface (and thus integrate Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into our online offering, for example). The Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) does not process any personal user data. With regard to the processing of users' personal data, please refer to the following information on Google services. Usage guidelines: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html.

Use of Google Remarketing

This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. This function is used to present interest-based advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. A so-called "cookie" is stored in the browser of the website visitor, which makes it possible to recognize the visitor when he or she visits websites that belong to the Google advertising network. On these pages, the visitor can be presented with advertisements that relate to content that the visitor has previously accessed on websites that use Google's remarketing function. according to its own information, Google does not collect any personal data during this process. However, if you do not wish to use Google's remarketing function, you can deactivate it by making the appropriate settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies for interest-based advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.

The summary of the data collected in your Google account is based exclusively on your consent, which you can give or revoke at Google (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). For data collection processes that are not merged in your Google account (e.g. because you do not have a Google account or have objected to the merging), the collection of data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the website operator has an interest in the anonymized analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.

LinkedIn Insight tag

On our website, we use the LinkedIn Insight tag for conversion tracking (visit action evaluation) of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (Attn: Legal Dept., Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland; "LinkedIn"). The LinkedIn Insight tag places a unique LinkedIn browser cookie (conversion cookie) in your browser and enables the collection of the following data for this cookie: metadata such as IP address, timestamp and page events (e.g. page views). These cookies have a limited validity. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, LinkedIn and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page. The LinkedIn Insight tag also allows LinkedIn to collect data about visits to our website, including URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser characteristics (user agent) and timestamp. This data is transferred to LinkedIn, encrypted, the IP addresses are shortened and the direct IDs of LinkedIn members are removed within seven days to pseudonymize the data. This remaining pseudonymized data is then deleted by LinkedIn within 90 days. LinkedIn does not share any personal data with us, but only provides summarized reports on website audience and ad performance. LinkedIn members can specify the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in their account settings. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics. This tells us the total number of users who clicked on one of our ads and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag.

Data processing, in particular the setting of cookies, is carried out with your consent on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. You can find more information on cookies and LinkedIn's privacy policy at:https://www.linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policyund https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Facebook Pixel

This website uses the so-called "Facebook pixel" of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are resident in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (hereinafter "Facebook"), due to our legitimate interest (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR).

Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active).

With the help of the Facebook pixel, Facebook is able to determine the visitors of our online offer as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "custom audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of users and are not annoying. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion").

Facebook processes the data in accordance with Facebook's data usage policy. General information on the display of Facebook ads can be found in Facebook's data usage policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. Specific information and details about the Facebook pixel and how it works can be found in Facebook's help section: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.

You can object to the collection by the Facebook pixel and use of your data to display Facebook ads. To set which types of ads are displayed to you within Facebook, you can go to the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions there on the settings for usage-based advertising: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tabs=ads. The settings are platform-independent, i.e. they are adopted for all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.

If you have given your consent to the storage of Facebook Pixel, this is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

You can also object to the use of cookies for reach measurement and advertising purposes via the deactivation page of the network advertising initiative (https://optout.networkadvertising.org/) and additionally the US website (https://www.aboutads.com/choices) or the European website (https://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/).

HubSpot

We use HubSpot, a service of HubSpot Inc. to statistically record the use of our website. For this purpose, so-called "web beacons" and "cookies" are used, which are stored on your computer and enable us to analyze your use of the website. HubSpot evaluates the information collected (e.g. IP address, geographical location, type of browser, duration of visit and pages accessed) on our behalf in order to generate reports on the visit and the pages visited. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this - for example, by setting your browser to generally deactivate the automatic setting of cookies. We also use HubSpot to process requests via our website. For this purpose, the personal data transmitted by you is processed in contact profiles and, if necessary, manually supplemented by us in order to inform you in a targeted manner about your preferred topics. We also use HubSpot to send marketing emails. This also includes the provision of content that you request via our website (e.g. white papers or webinars). Openings and clicks are also analyzed for the purpose of needs-based design and continuous optimization of our emails. You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time by clicking on the corresponding unsubscribe link in each email.
